In this study we examine the case of a 6th-grade elementary school science class that applies the OPPA-One Page Portfolio Assessment in learning about the “principle of burning” and the “lever rule”. The study clarified the three points below. First, it is important to pay special attention to the educator’s “self-assessment”. Next, as the educator’s “self-assessment” is based on the learners’ “self-assessment”, specific ideas for class improvement become apparent from this point of view.
