The cell-phone-only (CPO) population is growing. Therefore, surveyors are required to assess differences between their opinions of this trend and the overall average. The young CPO population is quite large. According to a recent mail survey, 45 percent of individuals in their late twenties responded that they did not have a landline phone. The results from previous mail surveys indicated that the CPO population comprising of people in their thirties has grown over the years. To date, the results have suggested that the impact of the CPO population has not been overly significant. However, as the CPO population continues to increase, it is unlikely that its influence can be ignored for long. In this study, we analyze the nationwide mail survey targeting people in their twenties that was conducted between November to December 2013. We then revealed the characteristics of the CPO population whose ages fell under the twenties range.
