Therefore, in this research, we aimed to examine the relationship between high school student’s Assertion and cognitive distortions. 212 first grade high school students rated the items using the Assertion scale for adolescents and cognitive distortion scale of interpersonal relationship scenes for high school students. Result of a multiple regression analysis, Self-deprecating was affecting the Relation-formation factor (β=-.365, p\u003c.01). From this, it became clear that high school students who evaluate themselves too low are more difficult to form good relationships with people. The Persuasion-Negotiation factor was influenced by Self-deprecating (β=-.285,p\u003c.01) and consideration for others (β=-.238, p\u003c.01). From this, it became clear that high school students who evaluate themselves too low or evaluate their own positive aspects thanks to others and to consider other people in order not to receive a
