Yet, function-oriented development along with economized and fast construction damages the uniqueness of the city identity. Based on the historical change of streetscape, the change of city identity through the process of time was investigated. East side of Omiya station was selected as the case study area. Information on documents including maps, illustrations and photographic images were used sources of data. Considering the history of Omiya, seven eras of transformation were defined as namely Era prior to the establishment of Omiya station, Era of industrialization, Era of first significant development of railway system, Era of road transportation system development, Era of prosperity of East exit, Era of second significant development of railway system and Era of decentralization of commercial and administration activities. The process of landscape change during those eras was investigated on the basis of five elements (landmarks, nodes, paths, edges, districts) of city form as defined by Kevin Lynch. Results revealed important insights on how the city form and street landscape changed., 指導教員: 埼玉大学大学院理工学研究科教授 窪田陽一, text, application/pdf}, title = {空間形成の歴史的経緯が都市の景観特性に及ぼす影響}, year = {2008}, yomi = {アトウ, リエ} }
