 note = {This paper focuses on one-anaphora, one of the overt nominal anaphoric relations in English, and examines some problems concerning syntactic structures involved in the relation between one-anaphor and its antecedent.
It has often been proposed that the antecedent of one-anaphor is always a unitary constituent, and that it is an N'. I present a large number of examples in which one-anaphor is followed by a prepositional phrase which functions as the complement of the head noun, including the cases in which the prepositional phrase is introduced by of. I investigate some problematic cases in which one takes discontinuous elements as its antecedent, and propose a new analysis with the notion of parallel multiple structures advocated in Ushie (1994, 1995)., 著者提供原稿
