 note = {Energy consumption and related environmental aspects of rural house in China are studied. Rural house with population of more than seven hundred million is a big source of green house effect substances. Old style self made cooking stove and combined space heating system of “Kang” is installed in north cold area and biomass fuels as agricultural waste and twigs are used as well as coal. Regional valiance by province and annual trend from 1981 to 2006 of rural house energy consumption in China are analyzed.
