In the analysis, the inclusion is assumed to be perfectly bonded and be allowed to slide. The analysis is based on the Papcovich Neuber stress function approach and the solution is obtained by the proper combination of harmonic function in integral forms and infinite series. The boundary conditions at the interface uniting the strip and the inclusion are satisfied using the relations between the polar and Cartesian harmonics.
