Defects in these processes are known to cause various types of brain disorders.\nTo elucidate the mechanisms of the brain development, we focus on the cerebellum, which is an ideal brain region to analyze neuronal circuitries due to its relatively simple and widely conserved structure, as well as to the accumulated information on its anatomy and physiology.
