Density of fans per 1,000km2 in Costa Rica is 0.35. Those of Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines, and New Zealand are 1.30, 1.97, 0.48, and 0.52 respectively. The low density is considered to be affected by lower debris production owing to the strongly chemical weathering under tropical climate. Fan sizes in Costa Rica are similar to those in Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines, and New Zealand. Fan slopes in Costa Rica are similar to those in New Zealand, and they are steeper than those in Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines. The cause of steep fan slopes in Costa Rica is not obtained., text, application/pdf}, pages = {27--37}, title = {コスタリカにおける扇状地の分布と形態<論文>}, volume = {32}, year = {2012}, yomi = {サイトウ, キョウジ} }
