The tsunami reduction becomes largest when the embankment is arranged at back of coastal forest. For the open gap, the wave peak and the run-up height increase monotonously when the gap is increased. However, the velocity at gap has a peak value with changing open-gap and forest ratio. At the forest edge, the potential tsunami force is increased by the increase of flow velocity.
