Global water demand in 2025 is anticipated to increase by about 30% compared with 2000, driven especially by population increase and urbanization in emerging countries. Asia has shown drastic growth in water demand, which is expected to account for about 60% of the global demand. Due to lack of water business management capabilities, water projects are packaged with infrastructure, operation and maintenance included in contracts. The scale of the global water market is expected to reach 86.5 trillion yen by 2025. The global water business has a large potential, offering opportunities for Japanese companies, but due to differences between business models in Japan and in the world, entry barriers are expected. This study presents alternative ways for Japanese companies to succeed in this market., text, application/pdf}, pages = {1--27}, title = {日本企業とグローバル水事業《論文》}, volume = {141}, year = {2014}, yomi = {エザキ, ヤスヒロ} }
