{"created":"2023-05-15T15:28:08.074231+00:00","id":17180,"links":{},"metadata":{"_buckets":{"deposit":"ea5943b3-08ad-4847-b4a6-2ef5552b65d4"},"_deposit":{"created_by":3,"id":"17180","owners":[3],"pid":{"revision_id":0,"type":"depid","value":"17180"},"status":"published"},"_oai":{"id":"oai:sucra.repo.nii.ac.jp:00017180","sets":["92:760:770"]},"author_link":["17927"],"item_120_alternative_title_1":{"attribute_name":"タイトル（別言語）","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_alternative_title":"A Study on Anti-Vietnam War Movements in Japan 1965–1967, with special reference to Fukuoka City (1)"}]},"item_120_biblio_info_8":{"attribute_name":"書誌情報","attribute_value_mlt":[{"bibliographicIssueDates":{"bibliographicIssueDate":"2014","bibliographicIssueDateType":"Issued"},"bibliographicPageEnd":"163","bibliographicPageStart":"131","bibliographicVolumeNumber":"11","bibliographic_titles":[{"bibliographic_title":"日本アジア研究 : 埼玉大学大学院文化科学研究科博士後期課程紀要"},{"bibliographic_title":"Journal of Japanese & Asian Studies","bibliographic_titleLang":"en"}]}]},"item_120_date_31":{"attribute_name":"作成日","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_date_issued_datetime":"2014-04-28","subitem_date_issued_type":"Created"}]},"item_120_description_19":{"attribute_name":"概要","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"日本全国に存在したベトナム戦争反対運動のなかでも，最も息の長い運動を続けたひとつが福岡市におけるベトナム反戦市民運動であった。1965年から1973年の間のおよそ7年半，ほぼ休みなく月3回，市民による反戦デモである「十の日デモ」が続けられたのである。\n十の日デモは，さまざまな理由から1968年前半に運動上の大きな転換点を迎えている。そこで筆者は，1965年4月から1967年末までのおよそ3年間を「十の日デモの時代」と名付け，福岡での市民によるベトナム反戦運動の発足の経緯と運動の展開過程を明らかにすると同時に，このローカルな運動を全国的なベトナム反戦運動というより広い文脈の中において検討することを目的とした論考を準備した。本稿は，その第1部にあたる部分である（第2部以下は次号以降に掲載予定）。\n本稿ではまず，政党や労働組合といった組織によらない市民のベトナム戦争反対の動きが，福岡市ではどのように始まったのかを明らかにした。あわせて，その動きを起こした九州大学の中心的メンバーのプロフィールを検討し，福岡市におけるベトナム反戦市民運動発足時の運動の性格について論じた。\nしかし，ローカルなベトナム反戦運動の歴史は，全国的な動きのなかに位置づけて検討される必要がある。そのために本稿の後半では，いったん福岡からは離れ，ベトナム反戦運動の全国的動向の再検討を行なっている。政党や労働組合など既成組織の動向と市民の自発的な反戦運動の動向とを比較しながら，1967年2月の米軍による北ベトナム爆撃（北爆）以降，日本の中でどのようにしてベトナム反戦運動が広まっていったのかをみていく。\nまたその際には，同時期に運動課題となった日韓条約反対闘争との関係，各種マス・メディアが世論や運動に与えた影響，ベトナム反戦運動において注目された自発性および個人性の問題，労働運動が反戦運動に取り組む際に直面した問題などに注目した。それら個別の論点の検討をとおして，日本におけるベトナム反戦運動全般の重要な特質を明らかにするよう努め，最後の小括のなかでその結果の提示を試みた。\nOne of the longest-lasting anti-Vietnam War movements in Japan was that which emerged in the city of Fukuoka in Kyushu in the middle of the 1960s. Its citizens formed a small protest group and carried out regular protest walks for seven and half years between 1965 and 1973. The walk was called the ‘tenth day protest walk’ (Ju-no-hi-demo or To-no-hi-demo in Japanese), for it took place on the 10th, 20th and 30th of every month.\nHowever, its characteristics and membership changed substantially in the first half of 1968. The author of this article thus named the first three years before 1968 as To-no-hi-demo no Jidai (‘the years of the tenth day protest walk’), and wrote a long draft historical essay focusing on the period. This examined the birth and development of the Fukuoka citizens’ protest movement against the Vietnam War as well as placing it in the much wider national context of the anti-Vietnam War movement across Japan. This article is the first part of that essay and the subsequent two parts will appear in the next two issues of this journal.\nThe article firstly looks at the beginning of the citizens’ anti-war movement in Fukuoka, exploring the biographical backgrounds and ideas of its core members. In the second part of the article, a number of citizens’ anti-Vietnam War movements that emerged in other areas in Japan as well as anti-war protest actions organized by trade unions and political parties are examined. This provides a wider context for the Fukuoka citizens’ movement that should give a more balanced view of what happened there.\nIn exploring the very beginning of the history of the anti-Vietnam War movement in Japan, this article pays special attention to the following questions which illuminate the peculiarity of the Japanese ant-Vietnam War movements: How did the Japanese people and society respond to the question of the Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea of 1965, which left-wing intellectuals regarded as a part of the US military strategy in Asia? How did the mass media in Japan, which started to report on the Vietnam War intensely after the US bombing of North Vietnam, influence Japanese society? Why did so many people in Japan feel compelled to raise their voices against Vietnam War by themselves? And, what kinds of difficulties did trade unions encounter when they tried to organise a nationwide anti-war strike in 1966?
