It is fundamental data so that a m thod of analyzing lessons is proposed in improving physical education lessons. Then, the purpose of this paper is following. 1 The action situation that teachers improve lessons. 2 The method that teachers use to improve physical education lessons actually. 3 Good and bad points of a method used for improvement. 4 The information that teachers think to be necessary in improving lessons. The investigation intended for teachers in charge of physical education lessons in S-prefectur elementary schools was carried out. The result was considered after investigations using question papers were carried out. 68 elementary schools was chosen at random in S- prefecture. Question papers were mailed there. It was 271 people who had a reply at recovery 41% soon that assumed an analysis object. As a result, as for the action of improving lessons, it became clear for teachers that it was had recognition to be special that was different from doing lessons. In addition, as for the utility of improving lessons, it became clear that there was the side that became negative for an action that it took trouble while recognizing it.
