 note = {Recently, the work experience program in junior high schools is spreading all over Japan in order that students get views on occupation and works. The purpose of this study is to clarify the value of this program and its determinants of effectiveness. We conducted interview survey to informants
who experienced the work experience programs in junior high school from 2000 to 2004. We have found that the followings are important to make the program more effective: adequacy in
term and difficulty, the feelings that participants have made a positive contribution, conversations with workers, and interactive relationships. Furthermore it is important to share experience with other participants after its program. We also found that the program provides junior high school
