Two hundred ninety-six high school students who articipated in an extensive reading program were asked to fill out a questionnaire twice, before and after the program, to see if there would be any change in their use of reading strategies. The results show that whereas neither did the students who read the most during the program nor those who read the least show positive changes, the students between the two groups showed slight improvement in terms of reading strategies.
