The need for such an instrument for junior and senior high school students was particularly evident. To meet this need, the Asahide Social Adaptive Skills Test is being developed.\nIn this paper, the Asahide Social Adaptive Skills Test is evaluated from the point of view of the interrater reliability between parents and teachers based on data obtained from children in a special class(N=4) and children in a regular class(N=11). When the ratings of the 15 children were compared a discrepancy in Stage Score of 7 of 32 subcategories was found, but the difference in Social Adaptive Skills Quotients was not significant (p<.05). These findings supported the reliability of this test.\nBased on an analysis of a case study, discrepancy in ratings between parents and teachers were due to uncertain evaluations, the difference between the criteria of rating and the understanding of raters, characteristics of the evaluation context, and the child's characteristic. Using an interview method may improve the accuracy of the rating.
