Faculty of Education}, month = {}, note = {University students in training faculty for elementary school teaching took lessons in machine sewing using ICT. After learning the basic use of sewing machines, the students sewed small bags referring to the handouts and video materials installed on Tablet PCs. The effects of learning machine sewing, the use of ICT and the points of attention in teaching were considered using the results of the pre and post questionnaires and the evaluation on the small bags sewn. The results are as follows; (1) The pre-lesson questionnaire survey showed that students tended to be passive in machine sewing than in hand sewing because of their short skills and knowledge. The post-lesson survey revealed that the study not only promoted their knowledge and skills but also enhanced their conscious towards teaching. (2) There was positive attitude towards the use of ICT by the students, most prominent in confirming the parts that were unclear. It can be concluded that video materials are effective tools in teaching as it has shown the potential to promote understanding, and to enhance seeking one’s own solution. (3) Referring to the small bags submitted, points to be noted were considered.
