 note = {「善き政治社会」のためには「善き市民」が不可欠であるが、その「善き市民」は「善き政治社会」によって生み出される。ラディカル・デモクラシー論などの政治理論が目指す理性的で能動的な市民像とは裏腹に、現代社会には反知性主義的空気が漂っている。こうした状況で「善き市民」はどのように涵養すべきなのか。本稿はイギリスのシティズンシップ教育を事例として、現代社会の市民像がいかなるべきものかを考察することを目的としている。

“Good political community” needs “good citizens” and “good citizens” are cultivated by “good political community”. Contrary to rational and active images of citizens which political theories such as radical democracy aspire for, anti-intellectual atmosphere has been going around in contemporary society. Under such circumstances, how “good citizens” could be cultivated?
