However, few initiatives aim at nurturing the applied ability to purposefully grow plants. Furthermore, technology education in junior high school does not devote enough time to teaching about Nurturing Living Things. To clarify the current situation and problems in Life in elementary school science and Nurturing Living Things in junior high school, we investigated previous research on the content of both areas. We suggested that it is necessary to involve elements of technology education in Life in elementary school science. Accordingly, systematic learning between Life in elementary school science and Nurturing Living Things in junior high school will be established.
