It has been said that nodarou could be classified into cause conjecture and result conjecture. In this paper, it is clarified that there are other usages based on the actual usage of JCK corpus's essay by Japanese native speakers, and they are classified into several categories according to the function of noda.\n In this paper, we consider that nodarou is associated with the premise and the preceding sentence (group) or the following sentence (group), and the writer's opinion is stated in a non-assertive form. And nodarou can be classified into non-assertive paraphrases, non-assertive views, non-assertive conclusions, non-assertive causes / reasons that function forward, and non-assertive outline that functions backward. Then, the rules for distinction of darou and nodarou were organized and presented to some extent.\n Non-assertive paraphrases, non-assertive views, and non-assertive causes / reasons nodarou can be seen as unnatural in context when replaced by darou. Non-assertive conclusion and non-assertive outline nodarou can be replaced by darou, but there exists some differences; as for non-assertive conclusion nodarou, it contains the nuance of “The matter has already been decided”; as for non-assertive outline nodarou, it has the effect of attracting readers. Therefore, it should be noted while using non-assertive conclusion nodarou to describe the future.
