Faculty of Education}, month = {}, note = {With the current progress of digital fabrication, the prices of 3D printers and laser processing machines are decreasing, and the situation is becoming more feasible for their use in school education. In addition, the use of 3D-CAD and 3D printers has been indicated in the curriculum guidelines for junior high school technology and home economics and for senior high school industrial science. Therefore, we conducted training on 3D-CAD and 3D printers for junior high school teachers of technology and home economics (technology field) and senior high school teachers of industrial science. This study discussed the effectiveness of the lessons using 3D-CAD and 3D printers in these trainings. The contents of the training were "understanding of the features of the software", "practice of basic operation methods", "acquisition of operation techniques through practice problems", "three types of part design" and examination of situations in which the 3D printer is used.
