| 内容記述 | 本稿は、1970 年代の「アンノン族」とその旅の文化について論じたものである。アンノン族とは、1970 年に平凡出版社から創刊されたファッション雑誌『anan』と、次いで1971 年に集英社から創刊された『non-no』から生まれたおしゃれな服を着て旅をする若い女性たちのことである。この二誌では日本全国を旅する特集が組まれ、その特集された場所を一人ないしは数名で旅をしたのがアンノン族である。1970 年代、アンノン族は一つのユニークな旅文化をかたちづくり、観光産業や若い女性の旅のあり方に一定の影響を与えた。 本稿では若い女性の旅という主題が、一貫して両誌の誌面構成の主要要素のひとつであったことを示す。次に、具体的事例として『anan』が特集として取り扱った全国の観光地を整理して分析し、誌面の表象の中心に置かれていたのは、いわゆる観光地ではなく、東京を中心とした都会生活と都会性にあったことを指摘した。さらには、流行としてのアンノン族の盛衰をたどり、その背景には、高度経済成長から低成長への転換という1970 年代の時代の推移があることを指摘した。最後に、アンノン族が、日本における女性の旅のあり方にどのような影響を与えたと考えうるかについて述べた。 This paper discusses the ‘Annon-zoku’ and their travel culture in the 1970s. The ‘Annon-zoku’ is a name labelled at young Japanese women who travelled alone or with friends in fashionable clothes. Those trendy young women were created and fostered by two distinctive fashion magazines, An-an and Non-no, respectively published in 1970 and 1971. The ‘Annon-zoku’ promoted a fashionable travel culture for young women, encouraging them to enjoy their women only tourism. Tourist industry also began to pay attention to these young women customers who would constitute a larger asset in their trade. This article shows that young women's travel was one of the main features in the women’s magazines. Analyzing the Japanese tourist destination featured in An-an, the article points out that the focus of the magazine was not the distant tourist spots, but the urban life and its associated urbanity: Tokyo metropolitan area was the most featured tourist destination in the magazines. This article also charts the up and down of the ‘Annon-zoku’ in the 1970s, indicating that behind the scenes a downward change in Japanese economy existed. In the concluding comment, I also make a comment on the way the ‘Annon-zoku’ influenced women's travel culture in Japan. |
