Faculty of Education}, month = {}, note = {The purpose of this study is to develop a learning program which enhances students’ recognition of proportional relationship between variables in lower-secondary school science by means of constructing conceptual entities and improves science learning, and to test the educational effect of the program in practice. Developed program is composed of two parts; the first is four-hours special lessons to enhance the recognition of proportional relationship between variables, and the second is science lessons of unit “electricity and its use” in the 2nd grade of lower-secondary school. Qualitative understanding of conceptual entities learning in the unit are constructed before introducing the calculation of proportional relationship in the program.
