In this paper, we observed the actual usage of “no + modality expressions” by native speakers of Japanese in the JCK essay corpus and proposed a guideline for their usage as a strategy for producing “nokamosirenai”, one of the “no + modality expressions”. \n　In this paper, we propose a usage of “no” in “no + modality expressions” as a “weakening of the speaker's grasp of the situation”.
