 note = {毎日新聞は2021 年の第49 回衆議院選挙において、有権者を対象に共同通信社と共同で情勢調査を実施した。ＲＤＳ法で対象者を抽出し、携帯電話と固定電話の番号に自動音声応答（オートコール）で架電した。調査結果と開票結果の得票率を比べたところ、相関係数ρ=0.976 と非常に高い相関が見られた。また、調査日翌日に掲載される情勢分析記事を集約し開票結果と照らし合わせたところ、289 議席中252 議席の予想が的中した。固定と携帯を対象としたミックス調査は選挙情勢調査としては初めての試みだったが、他社の国政選挙の情勢調査結果と比較しても遜色のない結果が得られた。

The Mainichi Shimbun, in cooperation with Kyodo News, conducted a survey of voters for the 49th House of Representatives election in 2021.
