受信信号のスペクトルの自己相関関数(ACLOS)を計算すると, 離調してもACLOSは原音声の調波構造に対応する構造を有している.この点に着目し, 受信した音声のスペクトルとACLOSの相互相関関数を求め, その最初のピークを求めることにより離調周波数を推定する方法を提案する.SSBの変復調はディジタルシミュレーションにより行い,
