"本稿では、日本語の指示語と３言語の指示語との対照を行う。指示語について言えば、従来、日本語と他の外国語との「２言語の対照研究」は広く行われてきたが、４言語を取り上げているものは、管見の限りでは多くない。なぜ４言語を取り上げるのか。諸言語には、コソアのような３系列を持つ言語と、“this-that”のような２系列を持つ言語がある。３系列として日本語と韓国語を、２系列としてインドネシア語と中国語を取り上げる。このように複数の言語を取り上げることで、２系列と３系列との相違点、２系列同士、または３系列同士の相違点などを、浮き彫りにすることができる。このような考察は、日本語学習における指示語の誤用を防ぐヒントを与えてくれるだろう。",
